Topic/Agenda: Linux coming to Springfield
A general discussion of topics for future meetings, including plans for forming a sister LUG in Springfield.
Basically we are getting together to talk LINUX and meet new friends.Also, expect an "Informed Source" to help argue the business side of having a LUG, a source of Info, LINUX has a great cost/profit ratio, Open Source Software cost makes it prefect for startups, and that LUG meeting provide an environment to Network and meet Business contacts.
We will be meeting at the back entrance of the NoHo Brewery by the parking lot at 7:00. If you don't know where that is, some will be meeting in front of Words and Pictures at 6:30.

On September 14 1999, the WeMaLU group put on a Linux Demo Days demonstration at the UMass campus center in Amherst, MA. The demonstration was an astounding success. A lot of great information about Linux distributed. We had four demo machines setup, running RedHat, Slackware, Suse, with XWindows, from fvwm, kde and nextstep. Demoing apps from Quake, WordPerfect, Apache, Netscape, to Xanim movie players and mp3 players.
